Safe Beauty Products
Almost all women use beauty products of some variety, be they skin care products, make-up or otherwise. However, all such products contain chemicals and preservatives which are needed in order to ensure that they remain in a stable state. The bad news is that some beauty products contain stabilizers and chemicals which can actually harm your skin and in some cases could lead to far more serious health issues such as gastrointestinal disorders, nervous disorders and even cancer. It is therefore extremely important to be aware of these issues and try to seek out safe esthetician supplies which either have natural ingredients or at the very least do not contain chemicals which are harmful in nature.
In the United States of America, the level of regulation by the FDA of these products is very minimal and in some cases even non-existent, which means that many skin care and beauty products could contain lots of ingredients that could be harmful. This makes it extra important to know what kind of beauty products are safe and how it is possible to know them when you see them.
The skin has a tendency to absorb at least some of what is applied to it, which therefore includes the chemicals in beauty products. The absorbing of these chemicals can result in dryness, irritation and inflammation of the skin, which is of course precisely the kind of thing women are trying to avoid by buying such products in the first place! Using skin care and make up products which contain harmful ingredients over a long term period can even end up causing far more serious health issues.
Before buying any face washes or shampoos, check the label to see if they contain natural ingredients. Sodium lauryl sulfate, often found in shampoos and foaming cleansers, is one of the worst chemicals around, potentially causing reproductive toxicity, cellular changes, infertility and endocrine disruption, and has even been linked to breast cancer. Check face washes and shampoos and try to choose ones with ingredients such as rose hip oil, tea tree oil and aloe vera instead.
Other chemicals it would be best to try to avoid when shopping for beauty products include the likes of parabens, sodium laureth sulfate, phthalates, triclosan, dibutyl phthalate, formaldehyde, methylparaben, monoethanalomine and imidazolidinyl urea.
It is even more important for pregnant women to be very careful about the beauty products they use.
